Inspiration Thursday!

Hello my friends! Welcome to our second weekly edition of Insiration Thursday! If you haven't been inspired by this week's sketch, well...you are just not inspirable! LOL - I'm pretty sure that's not a word.

When I'm looking for some inspiration, I often go blurfing. (that's blog surfing for those of you who are new to the blog lingo!) I must admit, though, I think I spend WAY too much time blurfing. I don't know about you, but the time just seems to go by so quickly when I'm clicking here and there and looking at all the fabulous blogs out there! I do have a few favourites that I like to check every day. But, my favourite sites to inspire me are Sketch and/or Challenge Sites! I have a few favourites, (besides Humble Pie Stamps, of course) - so I thought I'd share some of them with you.

TUTORIAL Wednesday in the Humble Pie kitchen!

We're so glad you've joined us for another Terrific Tutorial today! This time, our fabulous Baker-girl, Kim Sparks is sharing her cool ROCK N ROLL technique... ENJOY!

Rock and Roll Stamping Technique

I’m going to use these supplies to demonstrate the rock and roll technique to make a fall card from Easter egg stamps. I have my acrylic stamps and blocks, a selection of inks, cardstock and patterned paper, ribbon, scissors, my Nestabilities and my favorite adhesive.

Step 1, load up your stamp with base color. Stamp image onto cardstock.

Step 2, after cleaning the stamp, roll the edges in a darker color, being careful to ink only the outer edges. Align the stamp over the base color image and stamp.

Step 3, cut your images out.

Step 4, adhere the pieces together using your favorite adhesive.

Step 5, cut the card to your desired measurements. Use your favorite embellies, stamps, and ribbons to complete the card. Here is my finished card using Easter egg stamps and the rock and roll stamping technique. I hope you give it a try. It does take just a little practice, but it gives a great touch to your images. Have fun!

We'd love to see your Rock N Roll projects! Maybe you can use it to play along with our CURRENT SKETCH CHALLENGE! You still have until tomorrow, Thursday, at midnight EST to participate for this week's prize, $10 in Humble Pie Bucks, to use on your favorite Sweetie Pie stamps from The Town Scrapper! Good luck, and we'll be back tomorrow with a new challenge for you!
